Olive Branch girls' basketball

The Olive Branch girls' basketball team took home the championship of the SEMO Border Challenge tournament with a 57-43 final game victory over Poplar Bluff, Mo. on Saturday, Dec. 8. The 12-1 Lady Quistors also defeated Notre Dame (Mo.) and Dexter, Mo. in the tournament. 

NBA G League basketball

Memphis Hustle 120, Austin 106 (Ivan Rabb 31 points, 14 rebounds for Hustle.)

Boys basketball

Northpoint Christian 57, MHEA 36 (Jorden Flowers 25, C.J. Norfleet 22 for Northpoint.)

Horn Lake 54, Clarksdale 41 (Horn Lake record 10-1.)

Girls basketball

MHEA 49, Northpoint Christian 44 (Lady Trojans fall to 7-2 for the season. Amara McKay led Northpoint with 11 points.)

Olive Branch 57, Poplar Bluff, MO 43 (SEMO Border Challenge championship. Endya Buford 25 points, Dasia Harden 11 for 12-1 Lady Quistors.)

Horn Lake 63, Clarksdale 25 (Horn Lake record 9-0.)

Sports briefs.....

* Saturday's Olive Branch-Marshall County, Ky. boys' basketball game was canceled but may be rescheduled.

* The Bernard Blackwell All-Star Football Game in Gulfport Saturday ended in a 0-0 tie, the first time that has happened since 1963. Omar Pew of Horn Lake was awarded the Bill Stewart Sportsmanship Award for the North All-Stars.
