Tyler Harvey

Tyler Harvey of the Memphis Hustle is closely guarded by a pair of Texas Legends, including Keith Hornsby (4), in the Hustle’s recent victory at the Landers Center. Harvey’s 21 points at Northern Arizona Sunday night helped the Hustle win 119-79 against the Suns.

The Memphis Hustle defeated the Northern Arizona Suns 111-104 Tuesday night at the Prescott Valley Events Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona. After trailing by a slim margin for nearly the entire second half, the Hustle went on an 11-2 run over the game's final 1:55 to take the victory.

Hustle guard Brandon Goodwin set a new franchise single game scoring record with 36 points on 15-of-24 shooting.

Goodwin's 15 field goals also tied a franchise-high set by Chance Comanche on Jan. 27, 2018. The rookie guard additionally recorded five boards, four steals and three assists.

Jevon Carter also had another big night for the Hustle, scoring 25 points to go with six assists, five rebounds and four steals. Carter has reached the 20-point plateau in four of his last five outings.

Dusty Hannahs (13 points) reached double figures for the third straight game for Memphis. Kyle Casey chipped in with 10 points while two-way player Yuta Watanabe finished one point shy of a double-double. His 12 rebounds are the most by a Hustle player this season.

Suns guard Jawun Evans had a huge night as well, scoring 33 points (10-22 FG) while knocking down 11 of his 12 free throw attempts. He also added seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Daniel Dixon poured in 15 points off the bench and also grabbed six boards.

The rest of the Suns starting lineup reached double figures. Suns assignee De'Anthony Melton added in 13 points. Peter Jok and Eric Stuteville had 12 apiece. Aaron Epps scored 10 points.

Despite the Suns holding the lead for the majority of the second half, the game featured 15 lead changes and 16 ties before the Hustle's late run.

Both teams struggled from the field, shooting less than 45 percent with each team shooting under 30 percent from behind the three-point line.

Memphis was more advantageous in the turnover department, leading the Suns 27-16 in points off turnovers despite only committing two less (22-20).

The Hustle will return home on Saturday, Dec. 1 when the team takes on the South Bay Lakers at 7 p.m. at the Landers Center for First Responders Night presented by EMHC. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Hustle scarf.
