Olive Branch's Endya Buford looks to inbound in a recent game against White Station (Memphis). The Lady Quistors are ranked 24th in the latest CBS Sports Xcellent 25 national rankings, while White Station, the only team to beat the 18-1 Lady Quistors this season, is ranked 15th.

* Olive Branch High School’s girls basketball team has cracked the national rankings as it entered MHSAA 6A-1 divisional play Friday night. The 18-1 Lady Quistors are ranked 24th overall, according to the CBS MaxPreps Xcellent 25 Girls Basketball Rankings out Wednesday. Olive Branch’s only loss has been to White Station (Memphis), which is 15th overall. Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI is ranked number one.

* Friday’s decision to cancel classes in the DeSoto County School District also canceled all extra-curricular activities, including scheduled basketball and soccer games. Thursday basketball action included Independence over Lewisburg boys 65-39 and Independence over the Lewisburg girls 57-41. Center Hill boys soccer shut out DeSoto Central 1-0 behind goalkeeper Dustin Brown’s play, while the DeSoto Central girls prevailed over Center Hill 1-0.
