Northwest Mississippi Community College sophomore transfer outfielder Brant Blaylock has been named the MACJC and NJCAA Division II Baseball Player of the Week for his efforts in the Rangers' three wins over Calhoun last week.

Blaylock was 8-for-15 (.533) with four home runs, a double, 11 RBIs, six runs scored and slugged 1.400. He was also perfect in the outfield in eight tries.

Blaylock's big week started with a 3-for-3 game one win at Calhoun on Tuesday, finishing with a solo home run, two-run homer and three-run blast for all six RBIs in a 6-3 victory. He capped the week with a grand slam in an 11-1 game two win over Calhoun on Sunday.

For the season, the DeSoto Central product and Southern Mississippi signee is hitting .471 with seven home runs, four doubles, a triple, 20 RBIs and is slugging 1.265 through 10 games.
