Dr. Lee Morton, 73, passed away Aug.  22, 2017. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1970. Dr. Morton has been caring for the people of Hernando and Desoto County since starting Morton Chiropractic Clinic on July 7, 1973. He practiced in Sandusky, Ohio prior to coming to Hernando and also was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Dr. Morton was preceded in death by his

parents, Lee Morton Jr. and Celestine Morton and a sister, Charlotte Lassiter. He is survived by his wife, Marianne Morton of Hernando; son, Dr. Clay Robert Morton (Alejandra) of Collierville; grandchild, Sebastian Morton; sister, Cindy Poe of Southaven; brother-in-law, Albert Cavalier (Elizabeth) of Landenberg, Pa. and three nieces and three nephews. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 at Hernando Funeral Home with the family receiving friends beginning at 12 p.m. Dr. Morton had the honor and privilege of serving the residents of Hernando and Desoto County for the past 47 years. His patients meant a great deal to him and he was very proud to be a part of the community and serve so many people.
