Olive Branch police say the arrest of three men, two from Memphis and one from Olive Branch, may help solve several recently reported vehicle burglaries in the city.
For now, Javair Jaques Anderson, age 21 of Memphis; Frank James Hawkins, age 23 of Memphis; and Joshua Randle, age 20 of Olive Branch; have all been arrested and charged after police found property in their possession from recent vehicle burglaries.
According to a news release from the police department, officers have been doing specific patrols in subdivisions where burglaries have been taking place.
About 4:15 a.m. Thursday morning, officers saw suspicious activity in the area of Stateline Road and Hickory Drive, involving an unoccupied vehicle parked in the area.
On approach of the vehicle, three suspects fled on foot south on Hickory Drive, but were later apprehended.
A further check of the same area revealed that several vehicles had been burglarized. It was property from those burglaries that was recovered when the suspects were arrested and taken into custody.
Bond has been set at $300,000 for Anderson and $250,000 each for Hawkins and Randle.
In the Thursday release involving the arrests, police stated the investigation is continuing and may reveal a connection with the trio to up to 50 reported incidents of the same type in Olive Branch.
