The Family Resource Center of North Mississippi (FRC) of Hernando worked to make sure that families in the Hernando area were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families.

Dedicated to helping whole families with life-improving support, FRC set aside Nov. 17 to distribute non-perishable foods to families in need. Recipients were able to pick up the food gifts at the FRC office located across from the SNAP and TANF office. In addition to providing for physical needs, FRC with Families First for Mississippi provides services through the funding of the Mississippi Department of Human Resources in healthy relationships, job readiness, resume building, goal setting, coping skills effective parenting and many other services for families.

The program seeks to strengthen families of all backgrounds and life circumstances by providing life skills classes, plus youth development and parent education through seminars, workshops, classes, and presentations. Contact the Family Resource Center at 662-912-5900 for more information the many programs offered.
