Police search for armed robbers

Hernando Police are searching for two armed robbery suspects who robbed the Shell Gas Station at 586 East Commerce Street at approximately 4:26 a.m. Saturday.

"Detectives are actively working the case," Hernando Police Chief Scott Worsham said in an interview at 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police are on the lookout for a dark-colored two-door car occupied by two males. One male is wearing camouflage pants and a black hoodie with white lettering on the front. The suspect, who was wearing a mask, is said to be armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The vehicle was last seen heading south on East Parkway at approximately 4:27 a.m., leaving the parking lot of Olivia Square Shopping Center.

If anyone has information on this incident contact the Hernando Police Department at 662-429-9096. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
