Law enforcement officials Thursday identified the two men arrested as part of a pursuit in Marshall County that later ended near the county line in DeSoto County.

According to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department, the pair were identified as Nathaniel Wilson Butler, age 24, and Wesley Dorian Enis, age 25, both of Pontotoc.

A vehicle the suspects were in Wednesday night was being chased by Marshall County authorities on a report of a stolen vehicle.

The suspects entered into DeSoto County and crashed the vehicle near Meadow Brook Church on Old Pigeon Roost Road near Byhalia.

DeSoto County deputies then began chasing the pair and one was captured shortly after the crash, but the other eluded them overnight until his arrest Thursday morning as he was attempting to leave the area.

Butler has been charged with felony counts of taking and possessing a stolen vehicle, attempting to commit auto theft and being a fugitive from justice.

Enis faces felony charges of taking and possession a stolen vehicle and being a fugitive from justice.

No bond amounts were immediately announced for Butler or Enis.

I'm so glad they were captured. Now I wish the culprit in the the 2nd burglary of my horse stable in Olive Branch would be caught. College Rd. & Hwy. 305 I had saddles and some very expensive bridles stolen right after supper and before my night check on 4-11-17. Would appreciate any info!
