Board of Supervisord

The DeSoto County Board of Supervisors named District 2 Supervisor Mark Gardner as board president on Monday during their first meeting of 2021. District 5 Supervisor Michael Lee was named board vice president.

Gardner is taking on the role from District 1 Supervisor Jessie Medlin. First elected in 1992, Medlin is the longest serving supervisor.

The Board of Supervisors meets on the first and third Monday of each month to handle county policies on issues such as taxation and infrastructure. Their next meeting will be held Jan. 19th at 9 a.m. at the DeSoto County Administration Building in Hernando.
