County recognizes veterans with Operation Green Light

The DeSoto County Board of Supervisors issued a proclamation on Monday to show its support of local veterans through Operation Green Light.

The proclamation recognizes the sacrifices of our military personnel and declares  DeSoto County a Green Light for Veterans County the week of Nov. 7 through Nov. 13.

The county is encouraging its citizens, businesses and organizations to honor its veterans and those currently serving in the military by lighting homes and buildings with a green light.

DeSoto County is home to over 11,200 veterans.
