OLIVE BRANCH — A 41 year-old Quebecor World Printing employee is believed to have died from possible heat related injuries early Thursday, DeSoto County Coroner Jeff Pounders said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was found by fellow workers inside a company bathroom where she collapsed after complaining of illness.
Pounders said the woman was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night. She was discovered by fellow employees around 1 a.m. and was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital around 2:14 a.m.
“She had been ill and sick before they found her,” Pounders said.
Quebecor manager Dan Leever could not be reached for comment.
Pounders said it’s his understanding the plant does have air conditioning in some parts of the plant but not necessarily in all of the work areas.
